A small suburban town receives a visit from a castaway unfinished science experiment named Edward. Formed in a remote castle with scissors for hands, Edward finds friendship and curiosity among the towns teen folk, especially the suburban family who take him in. Youthful Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder are brilliant, the warmth and humour between them rending emotion from the artificial man.
