‘People should look deeper’. A quote from one of the main characters in this striking documentary illustrates the approach taken by photographer Andrew McConnell and filmmaker Garry Keane who combined their skills to film on the ground in Gaza between 2014 and 2018.

While Gaza as a place of conflict and violence appears regularly in the news, their aim, alongside highlighting these issues, was to offer a richer view of the territory, from the viewpoint of ordinary citizens, revealing the vibrancy, warmth and activity that persists, despite the ongoing conflict.
